Manager's Principles 10.7

How many times have you heard the phrases: “You don’t know, what you don’t know” or “Knowledge is power”…probably more times than you can count. It’s no surprise these sayings are so popular, given the role learning has on individual and team success.

We take this to heart at MEDUCOM, recognizing that shared learnings help promote team growth, foster a sense of continuous learning within ourselves and can create a culture of collaboration. Some of the ways we encourage our team to share learnings:

  • Attend a professional development event and run a MEDUschool sharing tips and tricks that could benefit the team.

  • Leverage our internal messaging system or team meetings to share tips to promote efficiency.

  • Be open and transparent when mistakes are made to help the team learn from each other and evaluate whether process changes are needed.

We strive to create an environment where our team members can feel comfortable sharing their learnings and ideas with the rest of the team. This starts with the management team leading by example and encouraging the others to follow suit.
