Our team, our town: MEDUCOM cheers on the Guelph Storm

Last Friday, we put down the laptops and picked up our team spirit, getting together after hours to cheer on our local OHL team, the Guelph Storm. It was a surreal experience seeing the Sleeman Centre flooded with fans and buzzing with activity. While vendors were kept busy serving buttery popcorn and refreshing beverages, spectators came together in the stands, high-fiving after goals and grumbling over bad play calls with their seat neighbours.

After navigating two years of lockdowns, it was energizing to enjoy what felt like a “normal” sporting event as a team. It was no doubt the cheering coming from our section was what kept the Guelph Storm fighting strong into OT – and although Guelph lost, the MEDUCOM team left feeling like winners!
