MEDUCOM goes axe throwing!
Before the modern axe, the stone-age hand axe was used without a handle and was essentially just a piece of stone. Axes were used in folklore for many different purposes, including as weapons and as part of superstitions like guarding buildings against lightning.
MEDUCOM went axe throwing just for fun (and to feed our competitive spirits) as part of our November social. We were taught how to throw different types of axes (including a giant axe and a tomahawk), both with two hands and one.
After some practice time, we had a tournament – everyone for themselves! In a hard-fought final, Doug emerged as our victor for the evening (you can see him in action in the picture below). Overall, it was certainly a riot of a time! #riotaxe
