Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Health for All

In 1993 the American Nurses Association declared May 6-May 12 National Nurses Week. The celebration ends every year on May 12 because it is Florence Nightingale’s birthday. National Nurses Week has since expanded to Canada.

This year’s theme is “Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Health for All.” According to the International Council of Nurses, “A Voice to Lead” refers to the fact “every nurse has a story and every story has the potential to improve the health system…” and “Health for All” is “a complete state of physical and mental health that enables a person to lead a socially and economically productive life.”

At MEDUCOM we’ve had the privilege to work with many dedicated, talented nurses over the years and we want to express our appreciation for them and all the other amazing nurses in Canada this week.

Happy Nurses Week!
