Deborah’s career has spanned biomedical research, biotechnology, the federal health sector, and healthcare communications. She thrives at the intersection of science and strategy, bringing scientific rigour, thoughtful judgement, and a commitment to quality to every project.

Deborah completed her PhD at McGill University, studying how human papillomaviruses cause cervical cancer, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in tumour immunology at the National Institutes of Health. She developed immunodiagnostics in the biotechnology sector before spending nearly a decade as Medical Director at MEDUCOM. She later joined the Canadian Institutes of Health Research – Institute of Infection and Immunity, where she led national strategic initiatives to strengthen the health research ecosystem and represented Canada internationally. Returning to MEDUCOM as Business Unit Director, Deborah draws on her diverse experience to help clients translate complex science into evidence-informed strategies that improve clinical practice.

Outside of work, Deborah enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and their Vizsla, whether exploring nature, singing along to musicals with her daughter, or trying to convince her sons that hiking is a fun family activity.
