World Hemophilia Day – Adapting to a Changed World

COVID-19 has caused a shift towards virtual healthcare and this has created many changes in the treatment of individuals with blood disorders. April 17, 2021 is World Hemophilia Day, and this year’s theme is “Adapting to change: sustaining care in a new world”. This new world that we live in has not only changed the lives of patients, but their families, physicians, nurses and researchers have all been affected by this pandemic as well. Support must continue to flow towards these people now and after the pandemic has passed. World Hemophilia Day represents overcoming challenges for patients with blood disorders to strive to have treatment for all.
