Team Principles 7.10
With the start of the new year, it’s resolution season! In my personal life, I’ve resolved to drink more water and do yoga everyday in January. At MEDUCOM, our principles are the habits we try to build both in ourselves and in others.
Some of the ways we plan to continue this in the new year are:
Hiring people aligned with our company values who already exemplify many of our principles allows us to build upon the great habits our new employees have already established.
Providing all new employees with a hardcopy of our printed booklet: MEDUCOM Principles: Your Guide to Success. With a tangible copy of the principles sitting on your desk every day, it helps to keep them top of mind.
Our management team attends development sessions where we role play scenarios and evaluate each other’s responses based on our principles. Regularly reinforcing our principles in our management team gives us the tools to coach the rest of the team to embody the principles as well.
Evaluating employees based on our principles at our quarterly and annual performance reviews. Aligning our evaluations with our principles helps us to reinforce them as habits.
We look forward to continuing to find new ways to build our principles into habits in 2023.
