Do you Know AML?
April 21st was AML World Awareness day. Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) is a cancer that affects the bone marrow and is the most common form of acute leukemia in adults. While this disease is rare, AML can progress and spread quickly, if not treated.
The Know AML campaign was started to help patients, their families, and healthcare professionals access the resources and support they need in the fight against AML. By raising awareness, the campaign’s goal is to improve knowledge of AML and develop initiatives to overcome common challenges and improve outcomes of the disease.
MEDUCOM advocated for their mission yesterday by wearing red and black. Check out the #KnowAML hashtag on social media or visit the Know AML site for more info, the Know AML campaign, and how to get involved.
