April 24-30 is World Immunization Week

Immunization through vaccines is the safest way to protect yourself against infectious diseases. Vaccines provide opportunity and hope for all of us to enjoy a more fulfilling, long, well lived life. Over the last two years, COVID-19 vaccinations have been a high priority and dominated the majority of discussions around immunization. It’s time to get essential immunization back on track!

World Immunization Week, celebrated in the last week of April, aims to highlight the collective action needed and to promote the use of vaccines to protect people of all ages against disease. The World Health Organization (WHO) works with countries across the globe to raise awareness of the value of immunization and ensures that governments obtain support to implement high-quality immunization programs.

This year during World Immunization Week, the MEDUCOM team has been spending time discussing impactful videos released by WHO. The tag line for this year’s campaign is A Long Life for All.
