SOARing Through Guelph, for a Great Cause!

On Sunday, MEDUCOM volunteered with the Southern Ontario Amazing Race (SOAR), Ontario’s longest running two-day Amazing Race themed adventure race fundraiser. MEDUCOM had the opportunity to hold one of the exciting clue-based challenges for the race in our office downtown Guelph, where the excitement was high as the teams worked through one of the last few stops of the weekend. We tested the team’s minds during the Medical Mayhem challenge, a doctor-patient scenario which required a strong memory and communication between partners to complete. This was one of many challenges of the day aimed to test the teams both physically and mentally. The motivation behind the SOAR event is to raise funds for the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington. This local charity helps to provide children opportunities that ensure a solid foundation for success and well-being. Adopt-A-Family, Food and Friends, Free to Play and their Scholarships programs are a few examples from this charity that have helped thousands of local children that are currently living in family situations that limit their ability to access important childhood opportunities.
