Living with Dupuytren’s website wins OPMA Skuy Award

This week the Ontario Pharmaceutical Marketing Association held their annual Skuy Awards Gala, in recognition of excellence and innovation in pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing. MEDUCOM is proud that our work with Paladin Labs Inc. on the Living with Dupuytren’s website was selected for Best Patient Non-Branded Disease Awareness - Digital.

Most people are not aware of Dupuytren’s contracture, but even those with the condition find it difficult to find reliable information. The Living with Dupuytren’s website was intended to provide credible information on Dupuytren’s and its management.

Another issue for patients can be finding a physician who can treat Dupuytren’s contracture. Treatment is usually managed by a subset of specialists in plastic surgery or orthopedic surgery, however, it can be challenging (even for other HCPs) to locate a specially trained physician. A Find a Physician feature was added to the website to help patients find a nearby physician who treats Dupuytren’s contracture.

Google Analytics indicated that there were 21,493 visits to site in 6 months, confirming the success of our search engine optimization and marketing. Thanks to this new website, people with Dupuytren’s are now finding the care they need!
