Marina completed her BSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics with a minor in Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences, and then went on to obtain her MSc in Human Health and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Guelph. She conducted research on the effects of 1,25-D3 on tumor growth in the mammary glands and went on to study the link between human gut microbiota on obesity and autoimmune type 1 diabetes. Her time at the University of Guelph helped Marina discover her passion for life-long learning, with a keen interest in human health and epigenetics. Her search for a career that fosters on-going learning in areas that pique her interest led her to MEDUCOM.
When she’s not in the office you can find Marina exploring new trails with friends, going biking and rollerblading, or getting lost in a good book.
