Amber completed her PhD and MSc at the University of Guelph studying anti-inflammatory mechanisms of various dietary and lifestyle interventions thought to mitigate the development of obesity-associated diseases. While her focus was on obesity and diabetes, her collaborations resulted in diverse experience and multiple publications in other disease areas including breast and colon cancer.
In addition to her research, Amber developed a passion for scientific communication and education. She has developed infographics to translate research to the general public, served as a Scientific Journalist with published stories in several fields, and has instructed multiple university undergraduate courses in Health Sciences. Her background in research and teaching combined with her desire for continued education led her to pursue a career at MEDUCOM.
When Amber isn’t working, you can find her out hiking with friends or curled up with a good book.
