So how do we become better strategists? I like to think that it involves doing two things at once at all times:
1. Focus on the task at hand (e.g. medical research, copywriting, meeting moderation)
2. KEEP THE BIG PICTURE IN MIND
What does this mean? We constantly ask ourselves if what we’re doing is bringing value to our client’s objectives, after determining that the objectives themselves are sound!
Thinking big picture allows us to use critical thinking skills to further develop our expertise as strategists. This mutually benefits our clients and our company, and makes for successful long term partnerships.
