Sitting on top of the world…

By February 11, 2011The Scoop

OK, so Whistler Mountain isn’t exactly the top of the world, but it sure feels like it when you’re up there! The fact is that Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Peak don’t even rank in the top 100 elevations in Canada; however, no other mountains have 39 convenient cable systems to get to the top and over 200 runs to ski to the bottom! I don’t see myself being much higher than this, at least in Canada…

The true uniqueness of the west coast climate was in full effect, with rain at the bottom of the hill, fog part way up, and snow near the top coupled with fiercely strong wind storms. But I’ll consider myself lucky because we got one day of blazing sunshine which allowed for a true appreciation of the landscape.
