I also bet that springtime is right around the corner. Guess the weather guy had it bang on two days ago when he said we were going to be hit with a winter storm. Luckily, the snowplows were out at 5:36 am pushing the snow and making a ruckus outside my window. Thanks to them, I made it to the office right on time (no traffic delays!). But I wonder if Wiarton Willy, our weather-forecasting groundhog, who is apparently worth $750,000 a year in tourism value, made it to work on time…if he did, I doubt he saw his shadow in today’s blizzardy weather. Legend has it that if he sees his shadow, he will be scared back into his burrow and we are in for another 6 weeks of winter. But six weeks is really just around the corner anyway…!
Happy Groundhog Day!
